KOTAI Wins the Inaugural Annual

On October 27, 2025, the award ceremony for the inaugural Annual Quality Excellence Award of Japan’s Takeuchi Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was held at Qingdao KOTAI Heavy Industry Machinery Co., Ltd.

Yao Luting, General Manager of KOTAI, presided over the ceremony. Yoshino Junzo, representative of Takeuchi Manufacturing Co., Ltd., presented the trophy and medal to Zhang Yugang, Chairman of KOTAI. All management personnel at the deputy minister level and above of the company attended the award ceremony.

To further strengthen partnerships and consolidate mutual trust with its suppliers, Takeuchi Manufacturing Co., Ltd. launched a supplier recognition program in 2025. The program aims to give fair evaluations to cooperative manufacturers and commend those who have made outstanding contributions to product upgrading, so as to pursue high quality and achieve common growth together.

Takeuchi evaluated suppliers based on annual defect rate, quality improvement proposals, delivery performance and other quality-related indicators. Recognizing KOTAI’s long-standing outstanding contributions to its business cooperation — especially in rigorous quality management, strict adherence to delivery schedules and active proposal of improvement measures — Takeuchi conferred its inaugural Annual Quality Excellence Award upon KOTAI.

This honor fully recognizes KOTAI’s outstanding supporting product quality and affirms the company’s full dedication and professionalism. Winning this award from a world-class enterprise marks that KOTAI’s product quality has reached world-class standards.

Yoshino Junzo presented the award on behalf of Takeuchi headquarters. This is the first time Takeuchi has set up and presented this award to an overseas supporting manufacturer outside Japan.

Going forward, we will hold this annual selection every year, and we sincerely hope KOTAI can keep winning this honor in every session.”

Founded in 1963 and headquartered in Nagano Prefecture, Japan, Takeuchi Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is a pioneer in the global compact construction machinery industry.

In 1971, the company developed the world’s first 2-ton swing-arm compact excavator (TB1000), laying its leading position in the field of small construction machinery.
