1. Khovd Darvi Coal Mine Project in Mongolia
The project is located in the Khusutu area of Darvisumu in western Mongolia, 210 kilometers southeast of the provincial capital of Khovd. The mining area is 300 kilometers away from the Takshken Port on the border between China and Mongolia. It is the third open-pit coal mine project in Mongolia, following the Obote Tolgoi coal mine project and the New Ginst coal mine project. The estimated coal reserves in the project area are 56.33 million tons, with a planned annual mining and stripping volume of approximately 8 million cubic meters.
2. Mongolia Obote Tolgoi Coal Mine Project
China Electric Power Construction and Mongolia Nangobi Resources Co., Ltd. signed a framework agreement for coal mine project cooperation. The framework agreement includes two coal mine projects, namely the Obote Tolgoi coal mine project and the Sumubel coal mine project. The projects are located in Gulbanst Sumu, South Gobi Province. Currently, the coal in the mining area is mainly coking coal and semi soft coking coal, with proven reserves of 80.43 million tons, controlled reserves of 17.29 million tons, and estimated reserves of 1.75 million tons, totaling 99.47 million tons. In April 2023, Electric Power Construction International signed a mining general contracting contract for the Obote Tolgoi coal mine project in Mongolia. Hydropower Bureau 10 is the construction party of the project, and the construction scope includes all the work involved in the entire process of stripping, mining, transportation, and coal sales within the designated construction area.
3. Indonesia open-pit coal mine project
The project is located in the central part of Kalimantan Province, Indonesia, with a coal reserve of 76.9 million tons and a planned annual coal production of 1.2-48 million tons.
4. Indonesia SDE Coal Mine Project
The SDE coal mine project in Indonesia is located in South Kalimantan Province and is currently the largest mining area in Indonesia. The total mining area is 185 square kilometers and the designed production capacity is 20 million tons per year. Among them, one mine has already been put into operation, and the second mine is expected to be put into operation in 2025.
5. New Ginst Coal Mine Project in Mongolia
The Shinejinst coal mine is located approximately 210 kilometers south of the capital of Bayanhongor Province in Mongolia, about 8 kilometers from Shinejinst Sumu, about 330 kilometers from the Chinese border port of Zek, and about 950 kilometers from Ulaanbaatar City. Bayan Hongor Province belongs to the Gobi grassland area, and the altitude of the New Ginst mining area is 2000m~220m. The mining area belongs to the temperate continental climate with high latitude, long and cold winters, large temperature differences, and low precipitation. The annual average rainfall is about 216.3mm, and most of the precipitation (70% -80%) occurs in June and September. The average temperature in summer (May to October) is 15 ℃; The average temperature in winter (November to April of the following year) is -18 ℃. The mining area experiences frequent strong winds, with an annual average wind speed of about 3.1m/s. The strongest winds occur in May, with an average wind speed of 3.9m/s.
6. Guoji Mining Mongolia's New Coal Mining Project
The project is located in Mongolia and is invested by Shandong Guoji Industry Holdings Co., Ltd. It is a new coal mining project.
The total investment of the project is 53.314 million US dollars, equivalent to 380 million Chinese yuan.
7. Indonesia Zhongding International BPM Coal Mine (Phase II) Project
Zhongding International signed a cooperation agreement with Indonesia for the Zhongding International BPM Coal Mine (Phase II) project. The project signed this time is the second phase expansion project of the Kalimantan BPM open-pit coal mine contract mining (Phase I) project, a key project currently implemented by Zhongding International in Indonesia.
8. Indonesia Central Asia Coal Mine Project
The Indonesia Central Asia Coal Mine Project is located in Central Kalimantan Province, Indonesia, with a mining area of 5148 hectares and a preliminary exploration area of approximately 30 million tons of open-pit recoverable reserves. Electric Power Construction International Company and PT Nemoasia Indonesia have signed a framework agreement for the full industry chain cooperation of mining, transportation, and sales of 30 million tons of coal reserves in the coal mine. The mining (including land transportation) part is entrusted to be implemented by Hydropower Seventh Bureau.

10. Tanzania Songia Coal Mining Project
Electric Power Construction Municipal East Africa Company signed a contract for the Songia coal mining project in Tanzania. The owner is China Africa Coal Group Co., Ltd. The project is located in Songea District, Rovuma Province, Tanzania, with a mining area of 141 hectares and coal reserves of 10-15 million tons. The construction content of the project is mining stripping construction, with a total stripping volume of approximately 31 million cubic meters, and the contract period is tentatively set at 5 years.
11. Sumbel Coal Mine Project in Mongolia
China Electric Power Construction and Mongolia Nangobi Resources Co., Ltd. signed a framework agreement for coal mine project cooperation. The framework agreement includes two coal mine projects, namely the Obote Tolgoi coal mine project and the Sumubel coal mine project, both located in the southern Gobi Desert of Mongolia, with good coal reserves and quality.
12. UgljevikIII 2 * 350MW coal-fired power station and supporting 4.2 million ton open-pit coal mine construction project in Bosnia and Herzegovina
CNEEC and Sunningwell International LTD held a video conference and officially signed the EPC contract for the construction of the UgljevikIII2 * 350MW coal-fired power station and supporting 4.2 million ton open-pit coal mine project in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The UgljevikIII power station in Bosnia and Herzegovina adopts two 350MW supercritical circulating fluidized bed boiler units, which will provide strong supply support for the local power shortage in Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the same time, CNEEC is responsible for developing supporting open-pit coal mines with an annual output of no less than 4.2 million tons in two mining areas near the power plant, providing stable fuel supply for the power plant.
13. Zimbabwe Makum Coal Mine Coal Conveyor Belt System and Ancillary Facilities Project
The total design length of the belt conveyor system and ancillary facilities project for the Makum coal mine is 9169 meters, with a designed conveying capacity of up to 1000 tons/hour and an annual conveying capacity of approximately 3 million tons. Zimbabwe Makum Resources Limited has signed an EPC contract with China Water Resources and Hydropower 11th Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd.
14. HINEJINST Coal Mine in Mongolia - China Ceke Port Public Railway Project
The project is located in Mongolia and is jointly constructed by China Construction International Engineering Co., Ltd. and China Construction Sixth Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd. It aims to build the HINEJINST coal mine in Mongolia and the China Ceke Port public railway project. The project includes a coal washing plant and two parallel roads and railways, with a total length of about 300 kilometers each, connecting the SHINEJINST coal mine in central Mongolia to the Zeke Port in Inner Mongolia Province, China. The railway part is part of the western corridor of Mongolia.
The total investment of the project is approximately 1.25 billion US dollars (8502.25 million yuan).
15. HAI Coal Mine Project in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia
On August 22nd, China Power Construction Corporation and Indonesia's Pan Pacific Group officially signed a contract for the 5 million ton coal mining and transportation project at HAI Coal Mine in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia, while locking in exclusive bargaining rights for the second phase. The HAI coal mine project is divided into two mining areas, covering a total area of over 40000 hectares with proven reserves exceeding 20 million tons. The signing of this project is another breakthrough for China Power Construction in the new business field of the Indonesian market. The estimated investment for the project is 3.5 billion yuan.
16. Ririkrud Coal Mine Well Engineering Project
The project is located in Tajikistan, invested by TalcoResource Company and EPC contracted by China Electric Power Engineering Co., Ltd., for the construction of coal mine shaft engineering.
The total investment of the project is about 600 million yuan.
17. Zambia Emiko Coal Mine and Power Station Project
The project is located in Zambia and was initiated by the Zambia National Power Company. It is planned to be constructed in BOOT mode by China Fifth Ring and its partners, the China Africa Capacity Cooperation Fund and EMCO. The project includes a 2x170MW coal-fired power plant and its affiliated coal mine. The Zambian government has signed a 20-year government power purchase agreement with the project company.
The estimated total investment for the project is 300 million yuan.
18. Southern Bolivar Province Gold Mine and Guajira Province Coal Mine Project in Colombia
The project is located in the southern part of Bolivar Province, Colombia, and is invested and constructed by Shaanxi Yihao Industrial Co., Ltd. It is reported that the gold mine covers an area of 500 hectares, and the exploration data shows a recoverable reserve of 2 million ounces. Process flow: excavation mining ventilation drainage power supply transportation. Note: Shaanxi Yihao Industrial Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Shaanxi Yihao Investment Holding Group Co., Ltd.
The total investment of the project is 60.4 million yuan.
