The situation of China's construction machinery exports to the United States from 2022 to 2024

In 2024, China's excavator exports to the United States amounted to 331 million US dollars, loaders to 400 million US dollars, forklifts and lifting platforms to 700 million US dollars, rock drilling machinery and pneumatic tools to 90 million US dollars, road rollers to 65 million US dollars, and pavers to 38 million US dollars. The specific export amount of major engineering machinery products to the United States from 2022 to 2024 is shown in Table 1.

In 2022, Chinese construction machinery exported $462.671 million to the United States, a year-on-year increase of 29.78%; In 2023, it was 427.945 million US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 7.51%; In 2024, it was 4054.74 million US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 5.25%, as shown in Table 2.

In 2024, the annual export value of construction machinery in China was 52.859 billion US dollars, with exports exceeding 2 billion US dollars from Russia, the United States, Indonesia, and Brazil. Among them, Russia remains the largest export market for China, with an export value of 6.362 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 5.02%; The United States was $4.055 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 5.25%; Brazil's revenue was 2.136 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 45.5%; Saudi Arabia reached 1.828 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 47.5%, with the highest growth rate. The top 10 countries for China's construction machinery exports in 2024 are shown in Figure 1.

Among them, XCMG Group had a revenue of 6.151 billion US dollars, accounting for 3.9%, ranking 8th; Sany Heavy Industry's operating revenue was 5.424 billion US dollars, accounting for 3.4%, ranking 9th; Zoomlion's revenue was 4.376 billion US dollars, accounting for 2.8%, ranking 11th. In 2024, a total of 13 construction machinery enterprises in China will enter the Fortune Global 50. Among them, XCMG Group's operating revenue is 12.964 billion US dollars, accounting for 5.3%, ranking fourth; Sany Heavy Industry's operating revenue was 10.224 billion US dollars, accounting for 4.2%, ranking sixth; Zoomlion's revenue was 5.813 billion US dollars, accounting for 2.4%, ranking 12th. Compared to 2015, there has been a significant increase in both revenue and profit margin in 2024.
