Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: Cultivate 100 characteristic industrial clusters of small and medium-sized enterprises again

On July 5th, the State Council Information Office held a series of themed press conferences on "Promoting High Quality Development", and the person in charge of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology introduced the relevant situation.
At the press conference, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology stated that as of the end of June 2024, China has cultivated over 140000 specialized, refined, and new small and medium-sized enterprises, including 12000 specialized, refined, and new "little giant" enterprises. Next, we will increase support for the cultivation of specialized, refined, and innovative small and medium-sized enterprises.
China will leverage the role of the National Fund for the Development of Small and Medium sized Enterprises to drive social capital to invest early, small, specialized, and innovative. We will deepen the implementation of the special action on digital empowerment of small and medium-sized enterprises, carry out pilot projects for digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises in cities, and strive to achieve full coverage of digital transformation of specialized, refined, and new "little giant" enterprises by 2027.
Minister of Industry and Information Technology Jin Zhuanglong: China has cultivated 200 national level characteristic industrial clusters of small and medium-sized enterprises, and about 100 more will be cultivated and recognized in 2024. At the same time, support local governments to focus on county-level economic characteristic and advantageous industries, and cultivate provincial-level clusters according to local conditions.
Jin Zhuanglong stated that China will also accelerate the construction of the China Small and Medium sized Enterprise Service Network, promote the interconnection of service networks at the national, provincial, municipal, and county levels, provide "one-stop" services for small and medium-sized enterprises, and effectively help enterprises reduce costs, improve quality, and increase efficiency.
